RELATED: Assassin’s Creed: Every Game, Ranked By How Long They Take To Beat
These armors helped to either elevate or hinder the base character designs in their respective games. As such, here’s every armor from the Assassin’s CreedEzio trilogy, ranked. Each outfit will be judged mostly on aesthetics and design, as only a few of them have unique attributes.
Updated on March 2, 2022 by Talha Bin Rizwan: Assassin’s Creed games allow players to equip their characters with awesome outfits and armor sets that not only protect them from damage, but also create an identity. The armors featured in the Ezio trilogy, boast some of the most elegant designs in the entire series. Not every armor set worn by Ezio is worthy of recognition, however, as some designs are rather bland and leave the players wanting. Some really do stand out from the rest though and hold a legendary status befitting of the most iconic assassin from the Assassin’s Creed series.
17 Leather Armor
The original weakest armor in Assassin’s Creed 2 is also one of the most uninteresting sets in the entire trilogy. Fitting the name of Leather, aesthetically it is everything that players would expect from a leather armor set.

The full brown set is incredibly bland due to its lack of textural elements. As a result, it just kind of sits there with the rest of the armor. Although it does its job during the early parts of the game, it quickly becomes irrelevant as much more powerful sets roll around.
How to Get the Leather Armor
Leather armor is the first armor set that players can acquire early on in the game. The set is available piece by piece following certain points in the storyline. The first piece that Ezio gets is the Leather Spaulders, which is available halfway through Sequence 1. The Leather Chest Guard and Greaves are available in Sequence 3, while the Leather vambraces can be purchased during Sequence 4.
16 Metal Armor
Contrasting the Leather Armor is the third-strongest set in all of Assassin’s Creed 2. However, the Metal Armor set still falls under the same trappings of the Leather one, in that it just looks incredibly bland.
Unlike the leather set though, the Metal armor is able to comfortably mesh with Ezio’s signature white assassin’s outfit. If the player dyes the outfit, the armor stands out even more. However, outside that, its plain design still places it far behind the other sets.
How to Get the Metal Armor
Metal Armor is a mid to late-game set that allows Ezio to withstand a considerable amount of damage. Players will need to make sure that they have the necessary funds for it, as it is a bit expensive. The Vambraces are acquired first during Sequence 6 and the Chest Guard, Greaves, and Pauldrons follow soon after in Sequence 7.
15 Azap Armor
The Azap armor is the leather set for Assassin’s Creed Revelations. In terms of aesthetics, there are plenty of elements that make it decent to look at like the little details on the greaves and the chest plate. Not only that, but it also fits well with the darker robes that Ezio wears in his later days.
However, this is also a double-edged sword of sorts as it blends just a little too well with the outfit in the end. The result kind of means that it doesn’t really stand out as much as it should, nor as much as some of the other armors.
How to Get the Azap Armor
Azap Armor is the first armor set that’s available for purchase in Assassin’s Creed Revelations. It can be bought from any blacksmith, starting from Sequence 2. The set provides 11.5 points of resistance and increases health by five blocks.
14 Roman Armor
The Roman armor is the leather set within Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Similar to the leather armor in Assassin’s Creed 2, it doesn’t mesh well with the robes of the Brotherhood, but it does at least have a decent design to it, unlike the original leather set.
The Roman armor also doesn’t blend in like the Azap set, so it is a little bit better overall. However, with that being said, the armor that players can get their hands on later on in the game is far more interesting to look at.
How to Get the Roman Armor
Roman Armor is acquired very early on in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Players will acquire the Spaulders first, which are available as early as Sequence 2. The Greaves can be bought in Sequence 3 and the Vambraces can be bought in Sequence 4. Players will not be able to equip the Vambraces until they have acquired the second hidden blade from Leonardo da Vinci, however. The Chest Guard is the last piece of the set and can be acquired in Sequence 5.
13 Rondelle Armor
The Rondelle armor is very similar to the Roman armor, almost to the point of having the exact same design. The only difference is that it has some metal lining within the details of the suit, a subtle, yet important distinction.
This can actually hold the armor back at times though, as it doesn’t have enough about it to really change anything other than the sheen from a glance. As a result, the set is only slightly better than its roman counterpart.
How to Get the Rondelle Armor
Rondelle Armor is an upgraded version of the Roman Armor in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and features a more ornately decorated set of armor with some metal decorations. Players will be able to purchase the Vambraces and Greaves in Sequence 5, while the Spaulders and Chest Guard can be acquired later on in Sequence 6.
12 Helmschmied Armor
The Helmschmied armor is the second set of armor that becomes available in Assassin’s Creed 2. Although it is quite similar to the leather armor, the Helmschmied armor stands out thanks to the intricate metal detailing.
These details are similar to how the Rondelle armor is handled. However, unlike that set, the Helmschmied armor is able to stand out in a way that isn’t subtle. This, in turn, truly makes it stand out on its own, which is somewhat rare in Assassin’s Creed.
How to Get the Helmschmied Armor
Helmschmied Armor is acquired in the early-to-mid game in Assassin’s Creed 2. Ezio will get the Helmschmied Greaves first in Sequence 3 followed by the Spaulders in Sequence 4. The Chest Guard and Vambraces both become available during Sequence 5 and equipping the full set adds eight health blocks to the players’ health bar.
11 Sepahi Armor
The Sephahi armor is one of the strongest armor sets in Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Looking very similar to the Mamluk armor, which will be discussed a little later on, it is a golden-colored armor set that provides Ezio with ample amounts of protection.
From a design standpoint, The Sephahi armor set is able to mesh fairly well with Ezio’s darker robes. However, with that being said, it doesn’t flesh out or complement the armors quite as well as some of the other armors that come before and after it.
How to Get the Sepahi Armor
Sepahi Armor is a strong armor set in Assassin’s Creed Revelations and can withstand considerable amounts of punishment. It’s available for purchase from Memory 5 of Sequence 6. The armor adds 20 points of resistance and increases Ezio’s health by 11 blocks.
10 Mamluk Armor
The Mamluk Armor is the second set that Ezio can get in Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Unlike the later set, the Sepahi Armor, this one still maintains the colors of the Azap set. Thus, it is able to mesh together very well with Ezio’s robes.
Not only that, but the cape and detailing are also very strong elements of the set. The only real issue is that the suit is fairly bulky as it doesn’t follow the shape of Ezio’s body as much as armors from Assassin’s Creed 2 or Brotherhood.
How to Get the Mamluk Armor
Mamluk Armor is acquired early to mid-game in Assassin’s Creed Revelations and bears similarity to the Azap Armor in terms of color. It provides decent protection against enemy attacks and is available for purchase from any blacksmith from Sequence 5 onwards. It adds 16 points of resistance and increases Ezio’s health by eight blocks.
9 Master Assassin Armor
The Master Assassin armor is one of the most unique armor sets in all of Assassin’s Creed Revelations. It’s obtained when the player has finished assigning seven assassins to different assassin dens and completed the first set of Master Assassin missions.

The set also offers unique bonuses such as silent sprinting and being unbreakable. If that weren’t already enough, it also happens to be genuinely interesting to look at too. The only downsides are that it is practically undyeable and one of the least unique-looking of all of the unbreakable armor sets in the game.
How to Get the Master Assassin Armor
Master Assassin’s Armor Set is a unique armor set in Assassin’s Creed Revelations which is acquired by completing the first part of the Den Master Assassin missions. It’s unbreakable and will not take damage from any source. Despite looking like a heavy piece of equipment, it also muffles the players’ movements.
8 Armor Of Brutus
The armor of Brutus is the strongest armor available in all of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Originally worn by Brutus, one of the many assassins responsible for killing Julius Caesar, it is easily one of the most powerful-looking armors in the entire franchise.
The strong red and fur elements really help make it stand out when compared to other armors. However, it is also one of the bulkiest armor sets in Assassin’s Creed and doesn’t really conform to most peoples’ ideas as to what an Assassin should look like.
How to Get the Armor Of Brutus
The Armor of Brutus is the strongest set in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. It’s acquired by finding and completing all six Lairs of Romulus that are scattered throughout Rome. This process is a little similar to acquiring Altair’s Armor in Assassin’s Creed 2. When all four pieces are equipped, Ezio’s health bar is increased by 15 blocks.
7 Plate Armor
Plate armor is one of the stronger sets of armor that Ezio can wear over the course of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. It’s an incredibly good set of armor thanks to the more minimalist elements of the armor.
Not only that, but it also pairs wonderfully well with the white robes that the character wears; looking decent enough with any other dye as well. However, what holds the set back a little are the actual armor values as well as other armors boasting better designs.
How to Get the Plate Armor
Plate Armor is a late-game armor set in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood that provides substantial amounts of protection. The armor looks stunning visually and adds 20 points of resistance when worn fully. It also increases Ezio’s health by 11 blocks.
6 Missaglias Armor
The Missaglias armor is the second-strongest set in the entire game, only being beaten by the armor of Altair. This armor is a really good set thanks to the designs on the plate armor, which blend wonderfully with the robes of Ezio during that time.
Not only that, but the armor set was also popular enough to be used in the Assassin’s Creed 2 statues and figurines. Overall, the Missaglias armor is definitely one of the more recognizable sets in the entire series.
How to Get the Missaglias Armor
Missaglias Armor is a very strong set of armor encountered in the late game of Assassin’s Creed 2. Visually, it appears to be an ornately decorated set of Metal Armor which pairs with Ezio’s outfit flawlessly. Players can acquire the Greaves for the set in Sequence 8, while the Vambraces and Chest Guard can be purchased when players get to Sequence 9. The last piece, the Spaulders, can be acquired in Sequence 10.
5 Turkish Assassin Armor
The Turkish Assassin armor is one of the few sets in the trilogy where it is strictly an outfit or skin. Aesthetically, it is actually quite interesting though, with a decent white robe that pairs well with the brown armor used.
In addition to its strong design, it is also one of the few armor sets that have a mask. The downside to this armor, however, is that due to its aesthetic nature, players aren’t able to customize to however they see fit.
How to Get the Turkish Assassin Armor
Turkish Assassin Armor is a purely cosmetic outfit or skin that is added in the Special Edition of Assassin’s Creed Revelations. It provides no protection whatsoever and players would have to rely on the actual armor sets to protect Ezio against enemy attacks. The skin is also available to players who purchase The Lost Archive DLC.
4 Seusenhofer Armor
The Seusenhofer armor is the second-strongest set in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. During the cutscenes, this is also canonically what Ezio wears by the time he faces Cesare Borgia in Spain.
Combining the best elements from the plate armor with the Missaglias armor, the end result is something that is quite stunning to look at. Like many of the trilogy’s other armor sets, it also blends really well with Ezio’s robes.
How to Get the Seusenhofer Set
Seusenhofer Armor is a very elegant set of armor that is available towards the end of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. The full set provides 27.5 points of resistance and adds 15 blocks to Ezio’s health bar. The Vambraces and Greaves become available to purchase from Memory 3 in Sequence 7, though players will need to complete the Blacksmith Shop Quest to acquire the Spaulders and Chest Guard.
3 Armor Of Ishak Pasha
The armor of Ishak Pasha is an unbreakable set similar to the armor of Altair and Brutus. Worn by the covert Ottoman assassin of the same name, it offers similar bonuses to the aforementioned armor sets as well.
However, one thing that really sets the armor of Ishak Pashaalso apart is its ability to scare guards away. Not only that, but the aesthetics of the armor are unique thanks to its gold and black color scheme and the creepy mask that comes with it.
How to Get the Armor Of Ishak Pasha
The armor of Ishak Pasha is an unbreakable set similar to Altair’s Armor and the Armor of Brutus from the previous games. Equipping the full set increases Ezio’s health by 15 points. To acquire it, players must first collect all ten Pages of the Memoirs of Ishak Pasha in order to unlock the Hagia Sophia Challenge Map. Players will then need to complete this challenge to acquire and equip the armor.
2 Helmschmied Drachen Armor
The Helmschmied Drachen armor is one of several outfit sets available in the Ezio trilogy. According to the series’ lore, it was crafted by the Helmschmied Armory in 1489 and was one of the finest armor sets that they ever created.
RELATED: Ranking All Assassin’s Creed Games
Aesthetically, the Helmschmied Drachen armor is one of the very best to look at. With black robes and red accents, it is smoothly combined with a set of white armor that is equally well-designed. The only problem with the armor is that, because it’s an outfit, it is virtually uncustomizable.
How to Get the Helmschmied Drachen Set
1 Armor Of Altair
The armor of Altair is the original unbreakable set in the Ezio trilogy and the one that holds a lot of important lore. Originally created by Altair thanks to the apple of Eden, he was able to fashion something that was extremely light while also offering incredibly good protection.
Ezio eventually wore this during the latter end of Assassin’s Creed 2, with it later being revealed that he wore it during his fight against Rodrigo Borgia as well. The armor is really well-made, with strong blacks, golds, and reds really helping it to catch the eye.
How to Get Altair’s Armor
The Armor of Altair is the legendary set of armor worn by Ezio and designed by Altair using the knowledge from the Apple of Eden. The set is unbreakable and provides 15 blocks of health along with 32 resistance. Players will need to find all 6 assassin seals scattered across the different regions of Italy and then unlock the armor in the sanctuary underneath Villa Auditore in order to acquire it.
