Assassin’s Creed Origins has three different Skill Trees all with their own useful unlockables that cost points to obtain. The further through the game a player gets, the more powerful they will become. The Hunter Skillscan be overpowered and give Bayek much more room to maneuver when taking on hordes of enemies. Some options are better than others, and Bayek, one of the most iconic archers in gaming, will need the best Hunter Skills a player can get.
6 Assassination Loot
The Assassination Loot Hunter Skill allows Bayek to automatically loot every enemy that they assassinate, greatly reducing time for the player and allowing them to focus on collecting things and progressing through the storyline further. There are many things the player can encounter across the world to loot, so taking away the need to plunder every single enemy is great for efficiency.
The loot is no small amount either, it adds up quite quickly and builds Bayek’s wealth so that players can purchase better equipment or upgrade what they have more often. Bayek is one of the best assassins of the franchise, so he deserves the wealth gained from this Hunter Skill to match.
5 Enhanced Predator Bow
The Enhanced Predator Bow Hunter Skill allows the player to control arrows in the air. This can be a great way to take down enemies and earn Assassin’s Creed Origins trophies when Bayek is attacking a fortress or otherwise heavily-fortified area. The mechanic is fairly simple to get to grips with but as with most projectile-control mechanics in games, sometimes the arrow can miss when it doesn’t feel like it should.

Nevertheless, Enhanced Predator Bow is a great Hunter Skill that doesn’t take too long to obtain.
4 Hunter’s Instinct
Hunter’s Instinct is an incredibly useful skill in Assassin’s Creed Origins and the only downside to it is how long it takes through the Skill Tree before it is obtainable. Hunter’s Instinct allows Bayek’s eagle Senu to see the path enemies of an area are taking. This may not be the most historically accurate thing in Assassin’s Creed Origins, but it’s a fun skill.
This type of skill is all about increasing the preparation a player can do before taking on a heavily-fortified area. One of the biggest mistakes someone can make, particularly if playing on the Hard difficulty, is to wade in and choose a bloody fight each and every time. Part of the joy in playing Assassin’s Creed is in the stealth aspects, which the Hunter’s Instinct skill helps to make more enjoyable and easier.
3 Chain Assassination
Veterans of the series will remember the days of chaining assassinations with the strongest Assassin’s Creed protagonists right from the start of the games, allowing the player to mow through hordes of enemies as if they were nothing. There were plenty of comments at the time about how this made the games too easy, but it’s nice to see the feature being present in Origins even if it takes some time to unlock.

The Chain Assassination Hunter Skill is one of the later skills available to the player on the Skill Tree. It is absolutely worth getting to make combat easier, especially if players are playing on Hard or Nightmare difficulty or are just not very good at the combat side of the game.
2 Bow Fury
Bow Fury awards the player with three seconds of slow-motion after they successfully perform a Stealth Kill with their bow. This Hunter Skill can be really useful if there are two guards side-by-side and the player wants to kill them both stealthily to prevent any more guards from coming over. Bayek has one of the best Assassin’s Creed protagonist backstory, and one that led to him harboring great fury, so it’s nice to see this reflected in the skills available to him.
The Bow Fury Hunter Skill will take the player a while to obtain but is worth it when they do. Mixing Bow Fury with one of the best bows in the game and Hunter skills that increase damage stats can greatly aid the player in taking down fortresses or other areas with dozens of villains.
1 Master Hunter
Master Hunter is the final skill that can be unlocked on the Hunter Skill Tree and increases the player’s overall bow damage by 1 %. This may not seem like a lot, but the crucial thing about the skill is that it can be stacked every time a player gains a Skill Point. The longer the player plays and adds Skill Points to it, the more effective their bow damage will be.
Players should definitely look to get a lot of the other Hunter Skills as well as Assassin’s Creed Origins’ best outfits first to make overall gameplay easier, but they should ensure they start putting some skills into Master Hunter quickly as well to increase damage output.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is available on Google Stadia, Microsoft Windows, PS4, and Xbox One.
