LaLiga president Javier Tebas expressed his hope that the arrangement would “give a major impulse to the popularity of the beautiful game in the USA and Canada”, yet Spain’s players’ union has reacted angrily to the proposals. Reaching out through the Ubisoft community forums, it’s been confirmed the schedule epic mercenary events for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be placed on hold for now, as the first two live events were unfortunately canceled on the eve of their scheduled release. The first two live events were slated to occur on October 18th and 30th. The premise of these live events is that Ubisoft would insert epic level mercenaries into the game, with these time-trials offering the chance for players to earn epic gear for either main character Alexios or Kassandra....

Sales for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate recovered significantly in the second week, however, rebounding from its poor start and contributing to the improved metrics the game has been seeing over its predecessor. Ubisoft confirmed that specific key metrics such as total playtime, are not only significantly better than Unity but also the game is on pace for sales that match Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinez linked the poor sales performance on week one to the ill-fated launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity, a game which struggled with glitches, bugs, and online related issues....

Spotted by dataminer AndyReloads, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla may receive an update in the future that unlocks the Iron Man-inspired armor for Eivor that’s been spotted in the game files. The base game already included several armor sets for players to switch between, while the Wrath of the Druids, Siege of Paris, and Dawn of Ragnarok expansions came with their own gear as well. It’s currently unclear what kind of stats the Iron Man-style set will come with beyond bonuses, but some Marvel fans may take to the set when it drops simply for looking so much like the comic book hero....

However, what that is and how that works exactly has been left up in the air. It’ll likely be years before fans know more, but the thing is, the franchise is and has always been interconnected. Assassin’s Creed Infinity can’t ignore Valhalla, as many plot points remain unresolved, and some are unlikely to do so during DLC. For example, perhaps playable Basim in AC Valhalla will only last through DLC, or perhaps that somehow translates over to Infinity....
